Overview

The Washington Appellate Project is advocating for the release of our clients who are most at-risk for contracting the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Prisons, jails, and detention centers pose an enormous threat to the health and safety of an already vulnerable group, and in order to combat this threat we must work together as a community. To that end, this page provides useful links related to COVID-19 updates as well as court documents filed in cases where our attorneys were successful in getting our clients released based on health risk. We hope that these may assist other attorneys as well as incarcerated/detained individuals advocating for their own release.
